D Grade container after refurbishing

Refurbishment & conversion of a 6m container for a church in Pretoria

Our client requested a 6m container to be placed on a site in Pretoria where the construction of a church is set to begin. The container needed to serve dual purposes: as an office space and as a living area for any personnel required to stay overnight on the premises. Due to a tight budget, we opted for an older, more affordable container rather than standard depot stock.

What Storage WISE delivered

  • Refurbished “D” Grade Container

We provided a well-worn container that underwent extensive refurbishment to meet the client’s needs.

  • Custom Partitioning

A middle partition with a sliding door was installed to effectively separate the office space from the living quarters.

  • Rust Treatment

Given the container’s severe rust issues, our team dedicated significant time to rust removal and applied anti-rust treatments to ensure durability.

  • Window Installations

We added two 900mm x 900mm aluminum windows fitted with burglar bars for security and ventilation.

  • Secure Access

A pedestrian door with a security gate was also installed to enhance safety.

  • Electrical Setup

We supplied and installed an electrical distribution board, along with four 16A double plug points, two 4ft LED lights, a light switch, and a connection box.

  • Floor Refinishing

The floor was lightly sanded and painted for a fresh look.

  • Interior Aesthetics

The office section was painted white, while the living quarter was finished in a soft cream white for a welcoming atmosphere.

  • Seamless Delivery

The container was delivered without complications using a 6m crane truck.
